2025 Christmas Charity Fundraiser

Date & Author

In December 2025, Dinner Club Network wrapped up the year with a Christmas Charity Fundraiser that combined festive spirit, genuine generosity and a strong sense of community. By the end of the evening, £530 had been raised, to be shared between the Be Free Campaign and Bay Tree Catering CIC.

It was everything we enjoy about Dinner Club Network, just with a bit more tinsel.

A Night With Purpose

Christmas can be a joyful time, but it can also be challenging. Mental health pressures increase, isolation becomes more visible and many community organisations face higher demand with fewer resources.

That’s why we chose December for this fundraiser. It felt like the right moment to pause, gather and give something back, without turning the evening into a formal charity gala.

The goal was simple: enjoy a great dinner, bring good people together and support two causes doing important work.

£530 Raised, Shared Where It Matters

Thanks to the generosity of those in the room, £530 was raised on the night, with funds split between both charities.

The Be Free Campaign continues its work supporting mental health awareness and access to support, particularly during times of heightened pressure such as the festive period.

Bay Tree Catering CIC adds impact through action, providing training, opportunities and confidence-building experiences through food. Supporting them felt especially fitting at a dinner-led event, where hospitality and community meet.

Yes, Santa Turned Up

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a few surprises. Partway through the evening, Santa made an appearance, proving that even in a room full of business owners and directors, festive mischief is never far away.

It lightened the mood, sparked laughter and reinforced something we care deeply about: networking doesn’t have to be serious to be valuable.

A Birthday With a Bigger Focus

The evening also coincided with a personal milestone. It was James’s 40th birthday, and yes, speeches did take place.

Rather than centring the night around a birthday celebration, the focus stayed firmly on the fundraiser and the community. It says a lot about the culture of Dinner Club Network that supporting charities took priority, although we suspect the birthday didn’t go entirely unnoticed either.

Leadership, after all, is about setting the tone, and this one felt right.

More Than a Fundraiser

What made the night special wasn’t just the money raised. It was the atmosphere. Conversations lingered. New connections formed. People stayed longer than planned.

It felt like a community, not an event.

That’s the kind of environment where generosity happens naturally.

Ending 2025 the Right Way

The Christmas Charity Fundraiser was a fitting close to the year. It reflected the values behind Dinner Club Network: connection, quality, continuity and giving back where possible.

As we move into 2026, this event stands as a reminder that business communities can be ambitious, successful and generous at the same time.

And sometimes, they even come with Santa.
